finally a day worth blogging about.
i'd say today was a meaningful day, in school. 1st and last for this year i think. though it isn't the last day of school, it felt as if it was, with all the prize presentation, peptalks and tributes. a touching day indeed.
for the 1st time in a very long time, ms ek made a meaningful speech. the very main thing that she said that i will remember at least till the end of my school years is this : do not stereotype. limelighters would definitely agree with what she said, and when she highlighted our scores for the aestetics section, the class cheered. though those achievements were not made by limelighters on the whole, but we're proud to have such limelighters in our class! we're the arts class! yea we might have been last in every single subject during the midyears, but time round we've improved alot and showed everyone that 3l is not equivalent to 3last!
after prize presentation there was a special tribute for ms chia(xie laoshi). she might not have taught me before, but she is a nice teacher lah. somehow she talking to her is like talknig to one of my grandaunts or something, she just has that motherly feel =] gonna miss her, maybe not as much as those whom she taught, but yea. speaking of teachers leaving rv, a lot of other teachers leaving rv too. mostly transferring, the rest not sure, nobody knows. every year there are teachers leaving rv, those leaving are the nicer ones somemore what a waste! well, i must say i'll miss them, especially those who'd taught 1k,2k and 3l. super super gonna miss those who's taught me for more than a year too. you guys should stay with our batch till we graduate then we can leave rv together! aww
mr tong: i'll always remember him as our dearest mr andrew tong! he's a nice teacher, definitely nice. he was extremely caring towards us, 1k, one of his 1st classes in rv. we had alotta fond memories together, both good and bad, bad more than good, but i'll rmb the good times better=] once mr tong imitated renzhi, that was a classic. mr tong also reminded us to mind the traffic while crossing the road, how sweet! and yes, he ranted to us about other classes, so cute! i misses him the moment he stopped teaching us, seriously i did. thank you again mr tong for the nice dinner buffet!
mr soh: sorry i know you may be reading this but this is one thing that i only told very few people about you, alex is like a minime of you haha. oh, we're so going to miss your jokes and your lameness in class, your sarcasm towards certain people in class, etc. i love your lessons, though i don't really show it cos i have an attention span of slightly more than a goldfish(better than janson). but your lessons are definitely captivating to some of us in class, those of class who understand your lame jokes lah. and oh yes, i know a lot more about you than you know xD but nothing much lah so don't need to ask me what i know =] why aren't you teaching us anymore =[
mr kuang: HELLO! i know you're reading.... and yes i finally updated! anyway, realyl enjoyed your lessons in the pass couple of months. everybody had to agree that your lessons were attention grabbing, we loved your method of teaching. all those nice nice programs which other teachers would rarely use to teach, yea we enjoyed them alot. *imagine wini screaming when you played the 20000Hz sound!* oh, and thanks for the happy tree friends clips, mrbrown's lessons, nice songs and your stories.tell us more during the chalet alright!
mrs tay: are you still staying in rv? i want you to stay in rv! i like your teaching alot! some of the people in class don't understand your teaching lah, maybe cause you taught jc for too long le haha, but i was alright with it, enjoyed them a lot too. mrs tay was extremely motherly lah can, and she came in the full package too! motherly = very caring, very nice, naggy too. haha but i want mrs tay for next year too!! 3l may be hard to handle, but we're alright okay, as compared to erhmm erhmm. xD yea and i'll be the math rep again so long as mrs tay teaches us next year!
mr lim: if you're reading, hello~! i'll definitely miss you teaching us. really liked those extra info you told us during lessons, made it more interactive and i tihnk i could really relate better to the topics that way. yea, but apologies for my bad results heh. i remember that i told ms teo last year that my history was unstable, and it still is. apologies to the whole humanities department! mr lim was a not bad form teacher of 3l lah i think, at lesat better than those who sit around and don't give any comments on anything or exact opposite lah(i'm not talking about certain teachers, just stating the worst case scenarios i've heard about from people i know). yea 3l's been lucky enough to have mr lim as our form teacher for this year. even if at some points of time it might have been a little rough and tough, it's definitely been a year fulled with lessons to be learnt, by both teacher and students. mr lim, thanks for teaching us! though it's been tough, at least now you know how out of hand students can get haha =] all the best!
2006 didn't feel like a year at all, it felt more like a minute. teachers leaving, sec4s graduating, juniors promoting.. time flew so fast it didn't even gave us time to think. imagine, in a year's time, us, sec3s of 2006 will be graduating from rv. all of us have different destinations, leaving for different colleges, some even going overseas permanently. we may not miss studying in rv, but we will miss the rv life, the life which we'd known for the past 3 years now. i'll miss the cramp crowded canteen, i'll miss the boring assemblies, i'll just miss my entire cirlce of friends. kaleidoscopians, limelighters, dancers. socialists, and many others which i'd gotten to meet somehow or another, we'll no longer be able to gather together. we may come back to rv someday, but it'll never be the same. oh man, i'm so gonna treasure every single moment living the rv life!
three cheers for an enjoyable year in rv!
